Actually the '90's are Army Ute U-21G (Beech 65 A90-1) and U-21H (Beech 65 A90-4). They are a kind of King Air precurser, and are much lighter than a King Air, as they were built unpressurized....

The -1 is analogous to the A90 - short wing, rectangular windows, or round plugs in rectangular ...
No problem!
For a couple more particulars, I would say they are more like a B90 as they have the old PT6A-20 engines, but all have ignitors instead of glow plugs.
They WISH they had the PT6A-27 engines(or later version) of the C90 's!!
Dynamic has five business segments as already mentioned. 99% of pilots are hired either to Airborne Data Acquisition (ADA) or Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR). The Sterile Insect and Aerial Application segments have little growth. The Fire Management segment does not have any pilots. ISR does military airborne surveillance. The pay is 10k-15k per month with a 100 on/75ish off ...
To compare the U21 with a pressurized 90.
The U21 is a F-150 XL. Its a work truck. You can put spray tanks in the back. Heavy cameras, etc. It may be hot, noisy, and have a spartan interior, but it gets the job done every time.
The pressurized 90 is the King Ranch F-150 Super Crew. Made for people hauling with more cabin isolation.
I just got the "thanks but no thanks" email after having my resume walked in to the VP of Flight Ops by a guy the VP used to be an FO for there, and completing a phone screen. Times were 660/10. If you lack an A&P, they seem to want turbine experience and higher times.
I emailed a resume and cover letter to them but got no response. I have turbine time and total time, but no King Air (well, an hour). Is there another route I should take that would be more fruitful? Snail mail, or something. This seems like the type of job I would enjoy and be good at. Am I missing something?

MiserDD, I'm retired AF, current security clearance and 1000 hrs in the King Air 300/350 (4000 total time). Applied about two months ago...

thats only for the ISR stuff - they have ADA which would be more mechanic than pilot, unless you guys are getting fulltime pilot stuff. Ok, the rest of the interview, no technical stuff other than the short IFR flight on the simulator. Its a casual conversation mostly .

MiserDD, Any help on how to contact the proper people at L3 would be greatly appreciated! I've been to L3's web site and can't...
Well... hum...if PERSONALITY has soooo much to do with it... why is it soooo many guys dont even get so much as a finger wave. You can not tell personality from a resume... and I know nearly 20 guys who have gotten no more than a thanks but no thanks letter, no personality questionnaire as was suggested on another forum..no phone interview.. nothing. If they are picking and choosing based on flying background... thats one thing.. but to say...

Hi Tink, Have u heard anything since the EOE form? They sent me mine today.
Well that all might be true. So why wouldn't a guy like my friend, recently retired from the Army, knows what it is like to fly under pressure, been there, done that, in that aircraft, spent years away from his family, blah, blah, blah, everything you said, except a buddy on the inside.....be hired? According to him, it was the 'toy' sim eval. That is what he was told as well. Kind of silly to me. I am only an outsider looking...
I currently work with a guy here in Iraq who used to fly for Dynamic. Take away what you want but he knows the contract business. He's been doing the contract gig in Iraq and Afghanistan since '99. He said that Dynamic is not very military friendy, will hire military guys if they have to but would rather hire from their close circle. He was quoted one pay scale but then was not paid that amount. He ended leaving the company over...
