And, not too big a surprise, the correct modded driver also doesn't work. I found out this is a known problem that can be caused be many things, however, considering it's a notebook and all it's components came from one place, I think all the components should play nice together.

Did you try removing all the drivers and cleaning anything that was left before installing (registry entries, etc)?

That was actually next on my to-do list, will probably try it later today or tomorrow * EDIT * Will probably wait until catalyst 9.10 is out, which should happen pretty soon.

Well, catalyst 9.10 installed. Problem still there. Weird thing is I noticed the computer halts at the exact same point every time I run the game (trying to run benchmark so it's easy to follow).
