Thread: Download pics and ringtones with opera mini 4.2 :-)

this is downloading with opera mini, u doo know that right? There was never a api restriction with rumkin uploads that I ever knew of. I only knew that when u use the opera browser to download a pic or something u would run into the api restriction... There for i did some research and found a workaround. Luckily it worked. It lets u do more than download though it lifts a lot of restrictions that have to do with gps, and other things as well....

Just to chime in, but after adding the com ports in QPST config program, has 26kick gone back then to EFS explorer to see if phone shows up? My Lotus was on com5 and i got it to work so it doesn't have to be on com 1 or 2? Just my 2 cents, hope you get it figured out.

Does the interface allow the renaming of the original _policy.txt file to something else? I'd think it would be possible. Then you just copy the new one into place. This way if something goes wrong for whatever reason, you can always get back to the original by deleting the new one and renaming the original back to what it was.

okay, So I uploaded to policy and it rebooted but downloads still bump me to sprint browser. I verified it was actually on the phone, any ideas. adam

For those who are keeping score, I had installed the wrong LG driver, which was why my phone wasn't showing up in EFS Explorer. The driver I installed that didn't work was called LGUSBModemDriver_ver_1.1. The one that is working is called LGUsbModemDriver.exe and came zipped. just an fyi. you can change the filename back to .mp3 after assigning if you want to use the ringtone but keep it as an mp3 in your media player. Wish i could get this QPST crap to work right lol
