Hi, Check this command on your server. dig @IPAddress www.domain.com If it resolves then DNS is fine on your server.

As mentioned, make sure you have the proper DNS servers in /etc/resolv.conf - check with your server provider to make sure the proper IPs are in there....just have a hunch for some reason, even though you've noted that resolv.conf is correct. Adding 'options rotate' to the resolver config wouldn't hurt either, if it's missing. You could also see if ipchains or another firewall are blocking a ...

Try dig +trace somedomain.com (for a domain that resides on your server). Please remember to clear DNS cache before doing so.

Check the DNS report at: http://intodns.com/ If you don't see the name server IPs OR different name servers, then something is definitely wrong somewhere.

www.network-tools.com is another nifty tool when it comes to checking zones and how they're setup. You can check your domain/IP against the utility and see if you can find a mismatch, as noted above.

If intodns is now showing you no errors, you may just be waiting for propagation of the new A records.

OK I added A records, now it is resolving perfectly but the problem is still there that in some locations it is working fine and in some it is not working fine.

there is no A record for ns5.paynhost.net and ns6.paynhost.net yet. Code: > host ns5.paynhost.net Host ns5.paynhost.net not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) > host ns6.paynhost.net Host ns6.paynhost.net not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) Couldn't resolve the same with dig +trace too, even if I was able to resolve the www and domain A record with dig +trace.
