Thread: Dog Ownership costs - Page 2 - Baltimore Sun talk forum

Thanks for all the tips and information. We decided last week to begin looking. We went to the Balt County rescue shelter yesterday and found a few dogs we really liked. Put in an application and we are waiting to hear back. We have a concern that maybe we got a little too caught up in the cute puppies without thinking really hard about the time commitment they require. Our 3 choices in ...

You might want to consider adopting a young dog rather than a puppy if this is a concern.

What a cutie pie!!!! Some dogs only go after/when exercising alot, so don't get frustrated.

That's weird about the lack of HW info - though Dr. Jendrek failed to mention to me during a half hour consult with my dog [who had dime sized lump of oozing mass on her chin] that instead of expensive & dangerous surgery, I could use a daily dose of anti-histamine pill to shrink it and take away it's source of energy to grow. So I did that and her tumor went away. He did advise to not do any surgery on her bad shoulders and...

Hey all... long time no see! :-D Skeemer, we got our rescue from a place in southern MD called Doodle Dawgs and Fabulous Felines...nice lady Linda runs a resuce out of her house.
