Thread: Does bumping threads = more views?

Started 2 months ago by Broken Home
Does bumping your Buzzboard threads give you more views? Yes it does... BUT: 1. Does it actually bring more heads in the door? 2. Is the amount of extra views worth what is essentially spamming the board? What do you think?

it make the information more readily available. i dont go past about the 2nd page when looking for events that are going on. so at least for me it helps if the event stays on the first few pages. altho i guess mostly i rely on my facebook events page for stuff thats going on and not so much this board anymore... and i dunno if i answered your questiong but whatevs!

Wicked Sway makes a good point..... Also... I bump my promo threads to basically keep the info on page 1 for lurkers who only use the boards to find info on an event they might want to go to. I have talked to people that don't even have SN on a lot of the messageboards, but they do check the events sections.

I really go out of my way to go to events where only three people bump the thread repeatedly, and no one else says anything.

When you are around large groups of people it's easy to just blend in and not really socialize and conversate with anyone.
