Hi, neither of these two should hurt. In the case of the hernia check it will hurt if a hernia is present.
I have had many prostate exams and it is uncomfortable, the only times that it did hurt was with prostatitis and now a prostatic fistula Anorectal fistulas Esophageal atresia Pulmonary arteriovenous fistula Tracheoesophageal fistula repair - series in my case.

If a doctor wants to check for hernia and needs to do an Inguinal Canal exam does it hurt? Also, does a prostate exam hurt?
