My grandmother used olive oil for "beauty" reasons. She wasn't even Italian we're LIthuanian, so I have no idea where she got it from it was back in the early 1980's. She would warm it in a pot on the stove and put it on her hair and tie a bag over it secured with a clothespin. I know the oil was the cheapest kind she would find. I came out of a large metal can and gramma was not one to spend...
Using olive oil on your face and hands is an old Italian grandmother's trick.
I use it occasionally if I have been doing a lot of cooking (and hand washing) since it is right there in front of me.
Eating a couple tablespoons a day has a similar effect.

I was told today by a patient on chemotherapy that she uses extra virgin olive oil on her skin and apple cider vinegar. She has lovely skin! __________________ Walmart CC Paid off 12/11/09 BOA CC...
Not Ranked : +0 / -0 0 score Just a suggestion, but if you are going to use olive oil on your skin you might want to go organic. Might cost more but I doubt you will be using a big old bottle of it. Mostly because it will be absorbed into your skin. Might as well keep it healthy. lol The mixture of salt or sugar to oil is a small amount of sugar or sale mixed with...

My grandmother used olive oil on her face as well as her body. Her skin was absolutely flawless and just beautiful. I use it on my body but my facial skin is so oily that it just doesn't soak into my face well. I use it on my feet in the winter time to prevent drying and cracking. I watched an interview several years ago with Shania Twain, she said every morning she had orange juice mixed with olive oil. She swore by it as well.
