We’ve all seen them: cars we wouldn’t be caught dead in because of our gender and what those certain cars “say” or suggest about our masculinity or femininity. Which cars are “guy” cars and which are “gal” cars — and why? Read Battle of the Sexes: Automobiles .

What about the muscle cars out there? I think a lot of men buy Dodge Chargers, Chevy Camaro's and Ford Mustangs. But I do see some women driving these kinds of cars too. I don't like pickups and I can't afford a BMW or new Corvette. One of my friends let me drive his Audi. I like Audi. I also drove my sister's Eclipse. I don't see anything girly about a fast car. I also know a guy who is smart ...

Where was the Miata in all this?  The Miata, MX-5...whatever they're calling it this year, epitomized everything a chick car stood for.  I've only known two guys who've owned them, both of whom took a lot of heat for driving such a notably effeminate vehicle.  Every other owner I've encountered has been a woman between the ages of 15 and 25, usually someone who matched the car; slender and just...

I'm a woman and I hated all the choices of the "Women cars".  Saw a couple I liked on the men's list.  I tend to like cars that have muscle stamped on it but then again, I've never been a girly girl. .  If I had to chose from the "Women Cars", I would chose the Cadillac SRX, Cadillac CTS, Ford Focus, Chevy Malibu, Volkwagen Jetta and other cars along these lines.  Hate the Volkwagen Beetle (...

This whole topic and the article itself has me laughing my socks off!  While it's true that many cars are stereotypically masculine or feminine, there are several of us who don't fit the mold.    In many ways I am definitely a girly girl, but when it comes to cars, it's all about HP.  I have a friend who builds racing engines, and he seems to get a huge kick out of knowing that when he's ...

Don't forget. GM announced a month ago that the Camaro will their designated gay car. Beware if you are straight.

I am a girlie, girl whose first car was the 1970 Dodge Challenger. Wide tires, Krager wheels, air shocks, chrome under the hood, hose covers and all. The first thing I ask a car salesman is how quickly I can get from 0 to 80. I would not be caught dead in that list of "women's" cars nor any car that was sold in pastel colors for that matter. Cars need to be able to get out of the way of idiot ...

I am sorry but masculinity is important. I cannot stand Honda's. I do not care how reliable you try to make them sound. Have you ever turned a wrench on one of those FWD Japanese vehicles? It is easier to work on a BMW, because it is RWD and the engine is mounted properly! If you cannot work on a car, and you do not have the money to pay someone else to do it, then yes, go buz around in your ...

Where are all the SUV's? The Audi Q5 is the best womens' car ever.

Apparently you have never driven a Miata, MX-5, or whatever they're calling it nowadays.  This car will out perform many cars twice its price and is a joy (for BOTH sexes) to drive.  Also, I thought that the Mini's were particularly feminine and the BMW Z4, too.

The only Z4 that is not feminine is the rare Z4 M Coupe. Otherwise I do agree.
