Started 1 month, 1 week ago by stayfit2008

Is it better to take the 2 years and really apply my training toward this? or would doing a show in say 1 year jeopardize my goals? My thoughts are twofold: 1. Doing a show in a year will keep my body more ...

I agree with 2 years. If you can manage the extra bulk and don't let it get away from you, take the extra time and thicken/week piont train. You will be glad you did.

take a couple years off literally if you could put on just a couple of pounds of muscle mainly on your chest and legs you're good... but at your age that could really take years unfortunately

Two years seems like alot of time away from the stage but its really not. If you spend four or five months getting ready then another two-three months to add back the wieght you lost its almost a year. So before your next show you have about 3-4 months of training at full strength or less. Taking additional time will alow your body rest and time to make improvments due to increased strength.
