Christ-ay. He's putting it off until after his Asia trip now, because he's shocked, shocked i tell you, at the corruption in Afghanistan. Either give the General you selected what he wants or just get out completely, this waiting game is dangerous for our troops on the ground and it's emboldening the taliban and Al Queda. 2828

http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=ZTQ1OTEzM jUyZTBjYWQ... As a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant emailed to me after reading one of my Corner posts: Our service members are dying and the president is dithering. I have been in the military while a president dithered or failed to make a tough decision, it is eviscerating, and a rot settles in. “Commander in Chief” is not ...

“Commander in Chief” is not just a fancy title. ---------------- Obama was completely unprepared to be president. As far as I can tell, he's never made a hard decision in his life. Everything he decides is surrounded by contingencies. He can't do that with Afghanistan, but he's trying. arrete

There's a part of me that wonders if he's hoping to increase public pressure to get out by allowing the half-assing to continue. Then he can point to overwhelming public support for getting out. -------------------------------------------------- Exactly! I was thinking the same thing.

"There's a part of me that wonders if he's hoping to increase public pressure to get out by allowing the half-assing to continue. Then he can point to overwhelming public support for getting out." That path only works if the country doesn't disintegrate immediately after we pull out all the troops, and cause a ripple effect all throughout the Mid East...... It's not going to be like ...

Sigh. I wonder what dorky things the prez will say in Asia. arrete He's got his apologies all lined up. In Tokyo, he will apologize for the U.S. having shot down so many Japanese planes in Hawaii. In China he will apologize for the Yangtze River Patrols (think "Sand Pebbles") and for U.S. support of the Dalai Llama. In Korea he will apologize for advancing to the Yalu River (even...

"He's got his apologies all lined up. In Tokyo, he will apologize for the U.S. having shot down so many Japanese planes in Hawaii." First, he'll apologize for the US dropping the atomic bomb twice on Japan.....and then promise to remove all nukes from the US arsenal within 10 years...... THen he'll apologize for the US dropping 'so many bombs' and firebombing most of the major cities....

The most absurd, by far, is Olbermann, although I do admit, I tried watching a guy named Dave Shultz I believe and he was just too stupid to even be able to watch. --------------------------------------------------------- Dave Schultz had a radio program in Chicago, i know because one of my radio stations went from music to talk radio, i would listen sometimes when i drove somewhere, you're absolutely correct, he's not very bright....

The former number 1 liberal talk radio host in San Francisco, Bernie Ward, who also had a national show, is currently in jail for kiddie porn. He was just doing research. ____________ You see, this is a case of what I said, clearly the man was a Bush supporter hired to appear as a liberal. I rest my case.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. She thinks he's an idiot, lost his mind, insane. She absolutely despises Glen Beck. When she starts talking about him her voice gets louder and louder, her face turns red, and she gets that crazy angry look in her eyes. What I find absolutely fascinating is how much time the liberal crowd spends listening to the likes of Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter. I can't remember the last time...

He has three priorities. If he gets them, that's enough to satisfy him. He will have done permanent damage, and there will be no easy way to fix it. 1) Health care destruction and socialization, with...

I've noticed that liberals have a very strong streak of insecurity. They feel that they absolutely must criticize the opinions of private citizens (those not holding political office) like Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and the Tea Partyers. Yet they can't stand to have anyone criticize the opinions of the Democratic politicians like Obama, Reid, & Pelosi. - Jim -------------------------- When the Braves hit a home run or even...

So you're judging a book by it's cover. No, just the design and the person pictured. Amusingly, I saw a little old lady pick up a copy in COSTCO the other day, and comment to a friend that "I didn't realize he was in the military." LOL! As far as the book is concerned, the ten topics/chapters are entertaining, but the arguments are not well supported by the references the author selected. I suspect the reader...

Obama can wait for another 4 or 5 months to allow the exit Afghanistan movement to build. Obama realizes this war endangers his domestic agenda. I predict a huge push on healthcare reform over the winter months. He wants his legency. If the election results in those two states while I was gone are any indication, his legacy will be to have the Dems swept out of office for trying to impose an agenda Americans don't want. --fleg
