Which display mode is the best, Y Cb Cr or RGB? I have my PS2 Slim conntected to a 32" Sony Bravia Flatscreen using composite cables (yellow,red,white). Message Edited by GEOSTIGMAA on 10-12-2009 11:45 AM

I would use standard, however, if you upgrade to the component cables, then you will have to set it to Y Cb Cr, or it won't display sound or image. The same may go for the composite, they may not display anything if you set the display method to Y Cb Cr. Hope that helped ^.^

On my PS2 under Display Settings there are 2 options. Y Cb Cr and RGB. Which option is the best when using the compsite cables?

It's not a matter of one being better than the other. It's just that there's multiple color encoding options to signal color information across 3 wires. RCA component and D-Terminal only work with Y/Pb/Pr, and VGA and RGBV SCART only work with RGB. If you change the setting to the wrong one, you get no image on your screen, as the screen doesn't understand the color encoding it is ...
