Hi Guys, Well as my title suggests, I like my neuro, infact I wish I could trade my GP for my neuro as he seems better at asking questions and trying to find solutions! All I want is some relief and someone who will try to help! I took my 'book' for him to read (it ended up being two typed A4 pages) with paragraphs of cause! But I couldn't condense it and I needed it to jolt ...

Yay!!! I'm glad you found a good one!! Sounds like he had good ole common sense as well! So how is he going to treat you (meds? other?) if you don't mind me asking. I'm so happy that you found one that you can be comfortable with! Don't worry about the embarrasssing stuff...hey... we all go through stuff like that! Tae care & God Bless you!!

Udkas, It is so good to read about someone else besides me absolutely appreciating their neurologist. I love mine too. I am glad you are satisfied with the progress being made - now here's hoping you get a great urologist too. I love my urogyno as well! good luck, Lulu

Wow...I really enjoyed reading one of the few stories we get to have on here about a great neuro and a good visit. That's fantastic. I'm curious to learn what the urol has to say about your "hot crotch." ;-) Bio

You just said a mouthfull, and about summed it all up in a nutshell. 'It's easy to define in article, but so hard to define in real life.' That is Multiple Sclerosis.

Hi Tammy, That sure is some coincidence that there are so many of your classmates with MS. Someone should be contacting a research group about this cluster - it might hold some significant clues. Be patient with the waiting - I know doing anything involving wiating when you are on doses of prednisone is difficult :-) be well, Lulu PS I'm going to do a separate post ...

Those 11 diagnosed -- how big was the graduating class from which they came? I graduated in a class of 760, so it wouldn't surprise me to find 11 people diagnosed with just about anything. However, I know that most high school graduating classes are significantly smaller, and 11 out of, say, 100, would be quite a bit more notable.

I am playing phone tag with the nurse again. This went on all last week.

There was an excellent story on NPR this morning that I heard on my morning drive about SSDI. I would recommend everyone take the 5-10 minutes and listen to this story. It might help you to understand why this process is now taking over 12 months to even get a first First progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 400 ...

Oh, my.......this is actually almost criminally abusive behavior.....You have written it up so carefully here that I think you can copy what you told us here and send it to the Board of Medical Examiners for South Carolina.  I would have you file a formal complaint of Unprofessional Conduct!  In the right setting a person with his actions and authoritative stature could cause someone to consider...

Exercise and MS

Hi Mayperl, I've been experimenting with a variety of exercises over the past couple years- I've done Tai Chi Water aerobics/swimming laps Body sculpting (weight lifting) Kickboxing personal trainer I'm fortunate because I can do all of these through work - and many on my lunch hour. Of these, I would pick water exercise over everything else - its great onthe joints and allows for a cardio workout without over...

I try to keep the temp down at home and wear a sweater that I can take off easily.   this can happen for a few days or weeks, then stop.. it's not menopause as I finished that years ago too. I haven't told my Neuro, as I didn't think it's something...

Question about Lyrica
Published (2009-12-14 11:40:44)
I have actually lost 3 lbs since I upped from 150 to 200 mg 2x daily.  Wierd I know cuz my neuro keeps asking me about my appetite.   My eye issues are a bit more wacky these days.  Not sure if it is from the Lyrica.  I am going to the opthomologist Jan 6.   My neuro said Lyrica may cause eye issues, but I need to decide what is worse the nerve pain or...

Better Guitar Last Night
Published (2009-12-13 13:00:00)
I played a short set at my neurologist's party last night, after taking Jen's advise and not practicing the day of a performance.  In fact the only thing I did yesterday was laundry and a lot of resting.  I still was only good for about 20 minutes before my arm/hand was absolutely shot.  But the mistake factor Factor ix complex was way down from last...

Which side did your symptoms...
Published (2009-12-12 21:23:00)
My first symptom was extreme vertigo; I don't think there's a sidedness to that.  If there is, I don't understand it.  Those symptoms I've had which could be sided have been hit & miss, except for the vision, which is primarily on the right side, though not exclusively.  I am right handed.
