Thread: Dice Table in Aspers Newcastle

I've heard they have a crap table in Aspers Newcastle, it's not open yet maybe in one month. Will it get any action?

The casino has the foot traffic but the spend per head is low. It depends very much where the game is placed, how it's promoted and the enthusiasm of those given the opportunity to deal on the table. I'd make it the first table that punters see. One of the best located craps tables IMHO is the one at Slots-A-Fun Casino in Las Vegas - just inside the front door on LV Boulevard. Ian

I admire the management in trying out the craps table but it will all depend on the crew. Years ago, the dice dealers were the deservedly arrogant ones, but in this day and age they will need happy smiley sales people able to teach, entertain and be patient with the punters in order to create a player base and then intelligently develop it with a playersclub approach. I hope that Aspers adopt the same ethos that was adopted on the ships and also in Africa, dice is a place for people to have a whole bunch of fun. Forget the old school, my &*^% does not stink kind of dice dealer. If they make it fun, lots of tuition and a good position, and most importantly, not the first table to close or not get opened due to staff shortages, then it could work. A good ...

i agree with ian its all going to depend on how the table is run. the reason that dice has all but died in this country was punters thinking they ran the table and scareing off any new players and rude and arrogant 'dice boys'. with the right crew and a new start i am sure the appeal and excitement of the game will make it as popular as it used to be. i believe with paris casino in blackpool out ...

Gala have 8 provincial casinos with dice tables, including Nottingham, Northampton, Bristol and Bournemouth.
