Thread: Diablo 2 Higher than 800X600 (and widescreen support)

Started 3 months, 4 weeks ago by Green
I'm sure some people might've been using this for a while but I searched the gaming forum and didn't turn up anything. Basically it's a small "patch" (which isn't really as it doesn't modify any game files) that allows you to run Diablo 2 in just about any res your G Card supports. Apparently this works perfectly on wide screen (I will test tonight) Only requirement is 1.12a patch. ...

Update: Hey guys, I had an issue running mine in full screen directdraw mode (doesn't launch, just has a tiny black block in the top left that cycles through characters), runs fine in a window tho. Direct3d does work fine full screen but as the guys state, at higher res you do get artifacts I'm running Vista 64 SP2

After a 1 year relapse I just managed to get myself off this game/drug again. Taking a break from it until the 1.13 patch arrives (probably at blizzcon) which will drastically alter the game again. Some of the changes that have been mentioned as being in the 1.13 patch are bigger stashes and the ability to re-skill.

although you can have a bigger stash and re-skill with plugy, having it out on an official patch will be nice...i hope they also enable diablo clone & uber tristram in sp as well as increasing high rune drops...always wanted to make some high runewords but it's not that easy in sp...higher resolutions should be supported...i can't wait for this...
