I have a user that let there battery die and the device was off for 2 days. He is telling me that after he charged it and fired it back up that it started to pull down new mail that was current of that day but it did not pull down any mail during the time that it was dead. He is telling me that he is missing 2 days worth of email. I have pushed the service books and had him do a reconcile but ...

Is it possible he filed those messages that he's 'missing', so they are no longer in his Inbox?

Or that the messages are on the handheld but the delivery date is the day he powered the device back up - if he opens the message it will show the sent date/time not the time the BB received as in the message list....

We have users that have blackberries from 2 different carriers. There are no issues, etc. The voice and data plans are from the providers and we just EA the device and away the user goes.

totalstu replied 2 years, 4 months ago
As long as you have a data plan with the provider you purchased the BB from you're good to go. Enterprise Activate the device and the user is up and good to go.

I'd like to appreciate answers from all of you. I'll then try to add users on BES as usual once they have purchased their own data plans.

Hi Totalstu, Thank you for the prompt reply with your experience with two carriers on BES. Would you please tell me if I need to do anything on BES when I EA a user with a different wireless carrier? Would RIM servers route packets to the right carrier without needing to be informed for the non-T-Mobile users? Thank you!!

juwaack68 replied 2 years, 4 months ago
Welcome the forums. The BES doesn't care which carriers are added - any Blackberry from any carrier can be added. You add them all the same way We have T-Mo, AT&T, Nextel, Sprint, VZW, Vodafone....etc, etc....

Hello Everyone, My company is seeking to add the 2nd wireless carrier for several users who want to use another wireless carrier other than the current one (T-Mobile) that we have on BES. Can anyone please kindly let me know what should be done to add another wireless carrier on BES? We currently have a plan with T-Mobile. If our users purchase BlackBerry handhelds, what would the the...

Moving Users to 2nd server
Published (2008-03-28 08:33:00)
Environment - 2 BES 4.1.4 for Exchange, sharing SQL database. I can move users from server A to server B with no issues. When I move users from server B to server A, I get the following message: "The status of this server cannot be determined due to the possibility of insufficient permissions. Server may not be running. Do you want to move it anyway?" I know server A is up and running fine. We have about 75 users on server A...

You should be able just to add the new key. Then have 25 licenses avilible. I dont think, the SRP must be changed. (I dont have in depth knowledge, but i think it is just an uniqu identifier for your server, not related to the licensing)

Same as Domino, sorry if my post implied you could not run more than one domain. Point is, still no way to have both addresses working fully on BES.

Are you able to call your main carrier (Optus?) for support? If they can't fix it, they have the ability to transfer you to RIM support. Might be worth a shot waiting on hold for someone as you're going thru that document. If you don't have it, I'd highly recommend T-Support. Well worth it in cases like this.
