Yes, it's retail. Installed as soon as Snow Leopard was released. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy process and many nights I cried myself to sleep after having my butt kicked fooling with it. Well Pcguy, I reformatted my computer and now the wifi doesn't work. I followed the exact same steps and I can't seem to be getting it right. I did exactly as you posted and it worked. I fixed the wallpaper and hot corner problem by logging off and then logging in. now it seems to work fine. to shutdown, i have to hold the power button for few seconds to turn it off. hopefully in future i can avoid pressing the power button to turn off. Now the big problem is with playing video. Any video that plays on quicktime, shows the screen blinking in front of the video. its probably a codec problem. but i'm not sure. can...
