Who knows of a capable registry defrag utility ( if one exists ) ??? thanks!!

Auslogics makes a separate utility specifically for defragmenting the registry. http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/registry-defr ag I can't speak for it's efficacy because the only dedicated registry compactor that I use is NTRegOpt, the one that comes with ERUNT, the registry backup tool. It's usually a good idea to back up the registry before cleaning and compacting. You can use System ...

Oops, I missed the "registry" part, I was all set on helping with a decent free normal defrag app. As Tunz has pointed out very well, there's no real need for a registry defrag. A registry cleaner is needed on occasion, but that's a different topic.

Oops, I missed the "registry" part, I was all set on helping with a decent free normal defrag app. As Tunz has pointed out very well, there's no real need for a registry defrag. A registry cleaner is needed on occasion, but that's a different topic.
