Alabama vs Florida for the SEC Championship. Both have great defenses. A look at how each fared against LSU. Florida won by 10, 13-3, on the road. Alabama won by 9, 24-15, at home. If we didn't have so many injuries and inexperience on offense, we could easily be 9-0 or 8-1. I'm talking about Nebraska.. BTW we have the #2 scoring defense, and that is really the only defensive stat that counts.

Defense is always what I look for in Championship teams. The Florida/OU game was easy to pick last year because OU was giving up 377 yards a game on defense against Florida's 277 against a better SOS. This year it will be a little closer with the defenses. The surprise here has to be Texas (the improvement from last year). The Big 12 teams were giving up ridiculous yards last year. The Florida defense has not given up an offensive TD in 5 of 9 games this year. Bama's D is plain nasty and tough along the D-line. --

Defense will win football games, especially late in the season when the ofensive players are petty well "banged-up".
