Thread: Dealer incentives

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by frankom
Dealer incentives of up to 4500.00 on 3 and 5 series expire November 2nd. Would anyone know how this would work in bargaining? There is also a .09 percent interest available on 2009 3 series and although timing isn't good for me these combine to be a great deal if you are ready to buy.

opens a discussion that could fill volumes. Quick answer: dealer will try to take his normal discount off the table by distracting you with the incentive. Sleight of hand to try to avoid giving you both discounts.

Thanks Stinger. I didn't know if they would even discuss that since it isn't advertised. Appreciate your opinion.

Note that the "Eco-credit" is tied to 4.9% financing. Many of the 2009's are either loaded or strippers. Hammer them on un-wanted options (like nav/iDrive) if you wouldn't order it. Also, they may (will) try to screw you on any trade to make up for discounts. One thing however - discounts via things like Costco buying program are NOT linked.

very bad economic environment, you hold most of the cards in the deck. Make friends with your salesman, and then politely hammer them for price cuts. Then walk away. Come back and tell him you're shopping at another dealer. Tell him you're looking at Mercedes. Tell him you love the BMW, but can't afford the price. Make him play your game, not his. Take risks, you might be surprised at what you ...

comfort access, heated seats and 16,000 miles. Being partial to shifting gears I am leaning to the 2010, but concerned I will miss lumbar support and "luxury". 2010 is 33k and 2009 at 32k so price between them isn't an issue. Thoughts?

I think the cushion is firmer? I need to drive a sport pak car again. I love the coupe looks, however, visibility and entrance exit looks compromised like a 323ci we retired.
