Alright so some of you remember my other thread http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3 7414 So its totalled. I talked to the mechanic and he said he would relieve the cost of the tow to take it to a junk yard. so id come out with nothing but i i dont owe anybody anything. i know i could part it out from here and make more than 50 bucks though (tow cost). Did the mechanic say what exactly got damaged? Because if it's mostly the frame and body parts (so engine is fine, you said airbags didn't blow etc) you could get some cash, yea... But I think the biggest question would be if you're ready to hassle with parting it out and willing to spend time removing things one by one (as demand arises).

yeah thats part of the problem idk if i can really part it out. cause im not home and college takes my time he said he thought the front wishbone is cracked. i know the whole front end is gone and then the radiator is gone i couldnt tell how deep the radiator got pushed into the cars internals looks like it just may have stopped in front of the block. but idk

Well, if you only lost the radiator and front framework is done for, you can get a decent amount, definitely covering the tow cost. Or, like someone said in you other thread, you can try and fix it up. Sure, it'd cost and it'd require work, but probably would end up being cheaper than buying a new car.

Please let me know if you part it out, there's a couple of interior pieces I can use (if gray).
