Thread: Dating advice. Being real VS being good Free Dating, Singles and Personals

I'm wondering if I could get some advice on dating. I have not done it all that much. Specifically I'm wondering about real VS good. I personally am not the kind of guy who is crazy about his own appearance. My facial hair does not grow quickly, and I've been known to go 2 days without shaving. I wear a uniform to, at, and from work, and I've been known to wear my "house shirt" for more than ...
Wow,Op,i really dont know what to tell you? You seem to be enquiring about personal hygiene.......?? Im female and have been showering, brushing my teeth twice a day, wearing clean clothes EVERY day etc since i can remember.............. I thought everyone was same............... ??????????????
I think I get what your actually saying. My ex-husband, had a, black shirt on when I met him, open to the first two buttons, jeans ( and a butt to die for), short hair cut, which was too short, lol which he explained away and I thought, great he knows how to take care of himself. Once, dating for a few months, out came the Hawaiian Shirts, thongs, mix matched shorts, hair started to grow, un-...
Ya know OP we men complain about women doing this very same thing to us----we tend to call it the bait and switch gambit though! LOL There is huge value in trying to make a good first meeting impression but if you go all out in order to impress her (and you succeed) only later to let the "real you" slip out she has somewhat of a right to be miffed. If she showed up dressed well, clean, hair...
I personally am not the kind of guy who is crazy about his own appearance. I've been known to wear my "house shirt" for more than a day as well. I think this makes me like other guys my age. Uhm... yeah... if you're disabled 70-something man who has difficult bathing, grooming and dressing himself. LOL! Now of course if I'm going on a date I'm going to freshly shave, shower, put on a ...
If you want a dude, let it all hang out. If you want a woman and a lady, I suggest you grow up and become a gentleman. That includes grooming yourself and not being a lazy azz about it! I can see you now in a dirty old tee with a huge belly sticking out and you are scratching it with your boxer shorts on, a cigar hanging, and a beer in the other hand... Yeah, just what every woman wants to ...
Simple really, 1) Be yourself and everyone know what they get. If your a slob then your a slob. If your well kept then your well kept, if your high maintenance then your high maintenance. 2) Package yourself to that what you want to attract. No whining when things fall apart though.
DO: Shower, shave, get a hair cut, put on a wrinkle-free shirt and pants, wear a little cologne DO NOT: Be late for the date, over-compliment her, stare at her, talk about ex's or ANYTHING negative!
OP , first of all, NOBODY is 100% perfect....being the real you is the only way to go ...be who you are because if you're putting on an act to impress someone , they will find out soon enough that the real you never existed to begin with...not a good way to start a relationship. As for grooming, as long as you dress for the ocassion, look like you've showered and brushed your teeth, that ...
I think you need to be real, because the girl if she is serious about you will find out about you regardless, so be you and you going two days without shaving is a long time? lol, I have week like 5 months without shaving then again you have a "suit" job I'm assuming so you have to be groomed going to the office, yeah just be you man she'll appreciate it.

BE REAL!!! There is someone out there who will apprciate you just the way you are. Playing games can get a man cut nowadays!!!LOL! You know those men who feed a woman bull and then wonders why she is boiling grits at night. Don't tell lies and be yourself because there are too many women at the end of their rope. You ever watch that show 'SNAPPED'? I don't want to see you on one of those shows while I'm getting my...
