It was addressed with posts prior to this one; however, Dale does not have to like the overall feel of the car in order to have success.
His team simply needs to get the right setup under him which gives him the comfort to go fast. That's what it's all about, is comfort. If a driver is not feeling confident in the car, he is going to have a hard...

No doubt. During one run he was telling Lance about being loose in and not being able to roll through. Then they came on and told him he just ran the fastest lap he had all day that late in a run.
I think Jr. gets hung up on trying to explain what's not perfect ...
That was a great victroy for Jr. to win the race Sunday...He's back to being the greatest race car driver that ever lived...He's on his way to a winning streak of atleast 10 winning races in a row..More that likely will win the chase and the Cup Championship this year..The whole world is right now that Jr. again is on top of his game.......

On Sunday, Dale Jr. not only praised the COT drove "good", but "really good".
We agree with Mike Helton:
"As it comes to the car, he and his [No. 88] team in particular [are struggling] and so there's some frustration there that I think contributes to his comments."...

If you disagree with someone's opinion and want to rebut, GREAT! Fight it out for days if you want to. But

You're 100% correct. Mark always was very talented and smooth. We used to pit next to him at ASA races when he was just a teenager and he was very fast and smooth. He also asked the right persons for advice on set up and never forgot.

What he really needs is to cut ties with people like Kid Rock and that crowd......he won't be around long burning the candle at both ends..........
No, you basically said "I think he's good, so shut up". I don't think he's good, has yet to a championship in Nationwide, Trucks or Cup. So he's won a couple races. Where is he in the points? 13th, and out of the Chase atm. Yeah, he's "good". He won a couple races, but he's not very consistent.
> Yes I'm a better driver than Jr. I'm sure you have a ride in the Cup Series then? > I'm also not a drunk. Good for ya ... You have proof that Jr is? > I never have been to a nascar race, but I have seen more racing than you have. That is a pretty bold statement ... Reading your post makes me think that you haven't seen much racing at all ....
> 1.229 mph slower than his 1st practice. Not unusual considering JPM (leader in all 3 practices and qual.) slowed down 2.109 mph. from 1st practice.

Still impressive....like I said, ANY championship is a great accomplishment in my opinion.
