I suppose I essentially made this thread to acquire some information regarding what it's like to go to school at Wellesley. What are some of the components that you enjoy at Wellesley? What are some things that you hate, if anything? Are you glad you decided to attend Wellesley? I'm just trying to get an idea of some of the things that students do at Wellesley in regard to how the education is ...
(It's a good ABBA song, but that's beside the point)
I'm applying EE to Wellesley, and would love to know what kind of chances I have. State : Michigan Type of High School : Best public school in the area, and the second best in the state. We're technically a magnet school. We haven't sent anyone to the Ivies in years, but we send a lot of kids to UMich, and a few to top LACs and ...
Take a chance on me!

Go ABBA!
I think you have a shot at being admitted to Wellesley.
It is clear from your 3.98 gpa (unweighted), your challenging
courseload and your 32 ACT score that you have a good chance of being accepted. You earned a 5 on the three APs you have taken so far, and this is also a good barometer of a student's ability to handle academics at Wellesley. Even though your math score on ...
I actually don't think Wellesley considers legacies at all. At orientation this year, incoming students were told that they got in on their own merits, not because they were a legacy.
I'm currently attending a California Community College and am looking to transfer fairly soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
I graduated high school in 2004 with a 2.3 gpa...lazy is the word. I took some time off and I've been back in school for a year and a half now, and have maintained a 4.0 GPA, in all courses, and am in the honors program. During my long break from school I ...

I'm going to go visit in Mid-October and I'm very excited!
It says on their website that they only host overnight students Mon-Thurs nights, but if I can only make it on a weekend, do you think they'd let me stay a Friday night? I know a student who goes there currently, so could I just request to be with her?
Another question I have that's kind of philosophical is that, although my ...
Thanks so much!

I know someone currently at Wellesley as well. She asked admissions if there was a way to request a prospective, and they told her that I could visit as her guest and stay in her dorm overnight like anyone else would. The overnight stays and lunches with Wellesley students are intended for those who don't know anybody.
Just my very biased opinion:
I've only had Winters as a prof for Multi and my experience with him wasn't positive. While he is genuinely helpful during office hours, I found that during classes I could hardly keep up with him because 1. he moves very quickly when he gets excited about the topic (which I'll admit is kind of adorable) and 2. he writes in a font that you need a microscope to ...
Thanks Xani. What state do you live in? I live in NH, just an hour away And congrats to everyone who got in! See you guys next year! thatskiewel: I'm really sorry that you didn't get in, but I'm sure you'll end up finding an even better school. Good luck!
Dear Chusa, Congratulations! The Board of Admission has voted to admit you to the Wellesley College Class of 2014. We were impressed with your outstanding academic record and your contributions to your high school and community. Wellesley had an exceptional group of Early Decision applicants and you are among the select group of students admitted. The Early Decision pool was highly competitive this year and you deserve special recognition for...
