Bernard Rose's comments during the Candyman commentary are refreshingly honest. I like his thoughts on CGI and generic horror scores.

Nice thread bump. I was reminded of Roger Watkins' comments on Last House/Dead End Street . There's a moment in the commentary where he praises the recent death of the film's editor. That made me go, "Ouch".

Screenwriter Mark Rosenthal's commentary track for "Superman IV: The Quest For Peace" is pretty darn honest about the film's failure and how Cannon(the studio) mishandled the production. It is a great listen.

In the Halloween remake w/Rob Zombie there are a couple of points where he mentions what a pain in the ass some scenes were, there is one shot where the 4 girls are just supposed to pull up in a drive way, park the car, and get out while saying their lines, Rob said that it took almost 4 hours to get it right

The late great Chris Penn has an interview about Lawrence Tierney on Reservoir Dogs . He was clearly a weird dude. There's also some great Tierney RD stories in the Quentin Tarantino biography, Shooting From the Hip .

There's a commentary track on my copy of Manos the Hands of Fate that is pretty brutal. Just makes fun of the whole movie, especially the Torgo character.

John Milius and Arnold Schwarzeneggar sound like they were smoking more than cigars when they did the commentary for Conan the Barbarian. Judge for yourself... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86-vveE9DI4

I liked how the commentary for Friday the 13th Part 8 (Jason Takes Manhattan) and some of the extras said basically "Yeah, it would've been cool if we could actually put Jason in New York, but they didn't give us enough money so we spent most of the movie on the boat instead."

Tierney also shows up in an early Seinfeld episode as Elaine's dad - they talk about him in the extras. He was supposed to be a recurring character, but he proved to be such a pain in the ass (stealing props, brandishing knives and forks, threatening the cast and crew), that they never asked him back.
