Thread: D'Haleine Legacy

Started 9 months, 2 weeks ago by YrS92
Joanne Alexandrine D’Haleine stood still, watching the lot she had purchased that very same morning from a rather sleepy real estate agent. "Quel shack," she said quietly to herself when looked at the small cabin that was now going to be her home. "Well, I’d better not to be too dainty. I should be glad, because I was even able to buy it. I bet that Harriette Mignon wouldn’t believe ...

Doesn't Peter just look like the type that'd call a woman "Mademoiselle"? Lol. Nice start and good luck. :}

Thanks for commenting my story, I really appreciate it kezsridg: Actually I'm playing the Legacy Challenge with Victorian rules(made them up with my mum), which allows me to use certain amount of kaching in the beginning(for clothes, you see... They can't wear those modern Maxis clothes)... I'm going to use certain mods and hacks too, but I hope it doesn't disturb you. I'm just trying to ...

Joanne Alexandrine and Peter had been married for four months now. They had been mostly getting to know each other, since they had gotten married so quickly. Joanne Alexandrine was quite sure she had made the right decision, although Peter wasn’t rich and his job was poorly-paid. He was so loving and caring and he didn’t mind her wild past. He was a real diamond. Peter adored her wife. Yet ...

Joanne’s pregnancy wasn’t easy. The last months had been a real misery for her, since she couldn’t do anything but eat, sleep and go to the toilet. Peter was quite nervous and worried, but he had to work a lot. He had finally found the mafia, but they didn’t trust him yet, so he was working as a pickpocket. He didn’t know if he should be proud of himself, but he was really good at it. He had...

Joanne couldn’t believe how fast the two years had passed. Tonight her little baby wouldn’t be that little anymore... Well, Josephine would still be almost a baby, but Joanne knew that she would miss this time. Some things had happened during these years. Peter had gotten some promotions and they had become quite wealthy. They could have afforded to buy nice clothes and other things, but ...

Great updates!!! I love the Victorian era and you're doing a great job with it. Peter is so sweet, he's willing to do whatever it takes to make Joanne happy. I think they might also have another little one soon

Too soon it was Josephine’s time to grow up. Joanne was sad to see her baby grow, but she had another thing to think. After their quarrel Peter had been much more present and the consequences would be showing soon. She hadn’t told him yet, but she was sure that he was going to be happy. This time Joanne didn’t have time to make a cake, but at least Peter was home and pretending that he was...

Josephine is so sweet...I understand her mother's concern but her words were a bit harsh for a 5 year old What an interesting way to tell a child you're pregnant,

If you've lost interest in this part of the story, then I definitely think you should just do an outline/recap and get to the part of the story that interests you again. As you've said - if you, the writer, are not interested in the story, then it will definitely show in the writing.

Uh oh. Either Josephine will make things hard for the new guy.. or maybe she will fall in love with him. Could go either way! Good story by the way. I've been reading it since you started.

Ooh, I just finished reading this! All your sims are so gorgeous. The Victorian idea is so lovely visually. Josephine seems to have turned into a rather nicer person overall. Good luck with your novel!
