Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? I had a vaginal birth with an epidural and it went perfectly! I wasn't so numb down there that I couldn't feel what was going on. Right after I delievered her I was up and walking around. I personally don't think I could've done it without the epi. She was a big baby and it burned like you know what pushing her head and shoulders through. A lot of people told ...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? Lilli, honestly I wanted to try natural labor with my second daughter but the labor was too intense, worse than it was with my first daughter. I couldn't handle it and I got an epidural. I got an epidural with my first daughter too after 5 hrs of walking around in the hospital wanting to die from the pain. If I could take the pain I'd do natural but I just ...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? I wasn't saying it had to be at home, I was just telling you there's info on the dvd about water births and thought I'd give you a little insight on what else there is to expect from that video. Water birth is offered at a hospital close by my home also. I was just simply trying to help answer your question since everyone on here did not mention a water birth....

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? I did a vaginal birth with an epidural. Probably will do the same thing, but would like to try to get through without the epidural this time. One thing I feel I should mention about water births. My mom is a labor and delivery nurse. Unfortunately, people come in a lot with failed water births, baby's inhale water, etc. They can be successful, but I hear ...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? Lilli, I agree about the water birth. I know babies are surrounded by water in the womb but it's different when the baby comes out. God forbid something was to go wrong, kwim? It's just not something I would do personally but that doesn't mean I'm against other women who rather have a water birth. I think a woman should have a right to choose what's best for ...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? 5ylver, what happened?? No one said anything about you saying anything wrong, did they? If they did I didn't read any posts saying anything like that. And, people DID mention water births. I know I did. I said I found them to be dangerous. I see them the same way you do...what if the baby gets water into its lungs or something. It just freaks me out ...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? First , I just want to thank all of you for replying! Absrose1, Are most of the failed water births done at home? I want to have it done at the hospital, .

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? I just watched a vid (unwillingly) lol it is called orgasmic birth and has a ton of info on natural birthsand basically it shows you that you dont need to go to a hospital, you don't need IVs, and you don't need to be induced after a certain amount of time. you should definitely check it out if you're interested in water birth, I was always curious about it ...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? 5ylver, don't worry about it. Everyone has their moments. I agree with you 100% on home births. I think that it could be dangerous. That's not to say those who want to do it or have already done it is wrong or anything. Like I always say a woman should be able to choose her own birth method so that she's comfortable as much as possible. It's not easy going through labor so choosing the best...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? I guess thats why they offer water births at hospitals and that definitely makes it a lot better than just being a water birth at home lol

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? First one was vaginal with epidural. Labor was about 16 hrs, 7.4 lbs. Second was supposed to be vaginal with epidural, but after 15 1/2 hours of labor, 3 hours of pushing, vaccum suctioned 3x without any effect, I had an emergency C-section. My son was born, and wasn't breathing. They had to bag him, and he was fine. He's been healthy and fine ever since. He just became stuck between my hip bones, and...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? Lurking from 2nd tri.... With my DS I was induced with pitocin (no problems, dr just wanted to rush things) with no pain meds available and it was horrible. This time around I'm doing everything naturally, no induction unless it's a life or death situation. I also plan to do it natural with no epi (is available to me now) as I figure if I can do an induced labor with no epi, a natural one should be...

Replying to: DELIVERY METHOD? this is my first ....... but I have watched TONS of shows...... and one of my family members wanted a VBAC.... It is on a downswing, drs seem to want to avoid VBAC's because there is a high risk of your uterus rupturing.
