Has anybody had a stolen card used as a payment for goods in business? I had over £9000 spent over the telephone as a customer not present and iam advised by barclaycard 2 1/4 months later that the card was cloaned! Of course they want their money back but i feel that iam a victim of banking errors in card security. they make the cards, they supply us merchants with a terminals but expect us ...

You need to get professional advice on whether you can reclaim the car - I suspect you can. You will lose any argument with Barclaycard.

If you can find the car your entirely within your rights to recover it. I stopped taking internet card payments earlier this year from tenants simply for the reason you stated above. Your offered little protection unless they use the pin!

Yes the card was used to purchase my car but of cousre their intentions was to sell on straight away to obtain cash without any connections. the car is just a tool to make money! These monsters are very clever as they are keeping their hands clean in such a easy way of obtaining money through fraud. thanks juls

Hi, My husband is so careful with his debit card and literally uses it twice a month since he had over £3500 taken from his account a couple of months ago. At the time the bank sent him a new card and low and behold its gone and happened again..... this time over £1500 taken.... transactions vary from mobile top ups, coach tickets to purchases overseas..... all are nothing to do with us... the ...

How did they get the keys to the car? Card scheme rules state that if you meet the customer during a transaction (going to their house, them going to your yard, etc) that the transaction becomes cardholder present, and you must swipe the card. I suggest you immediately report this car as stolen - be aware of course it will come back trashed. Perhaps your motor insurance will cover this...
