Thread: Creating riffs/chord progressions to practice improv.

I have always been interested in improvisation on an instrument, and I do it whenever I can when playing with other people. They usually start playing something, and I'll just come in soloing. Granted I am not very good at it, but that's why I want to practice! I came across a program called band in a box, and it looks very promising for improving my improvisation skills. Keep the chord progressions fairly simple to start with, maybe like a 12 bar blues style thing in the key of your choice, and as you become more confident branch out to more chords.

you could try 2 5 1 progressions or 6 2 5 1's as well as the blues 1 4 5 progressions __________________ I didnt mean to take up all your sweet time, Ill give it right back to you one of these days. the world is ending on January 1st 2000 Melbourne owns all cities
