Thread: Crash or Do the Right Thing?

I liked both CRASH and DO THE RIGHT THING, somewhat similar movies, though both were not without certain flaws and/or contrivances. Which do you think was the better film?

Not even remotely a contest. 'Do The Right Thing' is light years ahead of 'Crash'.

Similar how? Because they dealt with racial issues? So what? It's like comparing Con Air with Alive because they both had air planes in the movie. "What about you?"

Do The Right Thing is miles better. Even to this day it feels fresh and original and still has people thinking and debating the film's ending. Crash delivers its message with no subtlety at all and the preachy sentimentality in nearly every scene is nauseating. It feels more like an after-school special or one of those overly serious "very special episodes" from an early 90's sitcom. ---...

Crash is an after school special, Do the Right Thing is a work of art and a classic of modern cinema.

Do The Right Thing was an awesome movie. This movie (Crash) is merely average.
