Thread: Could he cast someone else???

Don't get me wrong, Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the best actors and his films with Scorcese (I will never be able to spell his name correctly lol) are mostly great.... But can he cast a different male lead? We have Shutter Island next year and now rumours for Sinatra. I don't want to ruin their love affair, but wouldn't you agree to see some other actor take on a Sorcese (there we go again) film???

I really get tired of Leo in Marty's films also. Truth be told, I never really appreciate Leo until I saw him in "The Aviator," but one of the things I loved about Scorsese is his ability to draw big-name, diverse talent for his films, and the reliance on DiCaprio is tedious. Surely half of Hollywood wants to work with Marty; why can't he branch out a bit at this point in his career?

I kind of agree with you. I love their collaboration, but I would like to see Scorsese direct a different leading man for a movie or two. Though I wouldn't rule out future collaborative projects by any means.
