Now it's 2009 in most places in North America. It's time to wipe the slate clean, time for each console to start anew. The Wii is selling great, the 360 is having great sales, so is the PS3, DS, PSP, and even the PS2 after nine years.
Which console will win 2009? The Wii with The Conduit, MadWorld, and Punch-Out!!, the PS3 with Final Fantsy XIII Versus, Grand Turismo 5, or White ...
I think touch screen cellphones may compete with handhelds this year, just a little bit though. Some good ideas about the next consules may be thought up this year also.

The only thing Apple's really ever done video game hardware-wise is make computers that play video games, like Microsoft, with the Mac still getting games, so I counted it. They also have games for the iPhone and iTouch as well.
I also brought up EA because it's been trying to buy a lot of developers lately, like what Microsoft did before the launch of the Xbox, so it may be taking the ...

I think the PS3 will get a nice shot in the arm concerning software (killzone 2). The Wii will continue to sell well. Lastly, the 360 will has a lot to offer this year. Also, new DSi games are coming out soon.

For me, it will be a meh year. I'm extremely dissapointed at 2008, because it was supposed to be an awesome year of epic proportions, and I must say MGS4 and to a lesser extent LittleBigPlanet were the only games I played that met the hype (of course there were probably others, but I couldnt say because I didn't play them.) This year will probably be spent giving the games I have the ...
Nintendo-The Wii will sell more. But if this year is like 08 (casual games taking over nintendo) then It's gonna be a rough year. Nintendo needs a new mario-metroid-zelda-kidicarus-earthbound- or SOMETHING to keep fanboys happy. Microsoft-I think MS will come up with a LBP competitor for 09. Also A Home competitor. Sony-Now is the time for the PS3 to come out of It's shell and wage an all out ...

Killzone 2 will absolutely help the PS3 not only because it's been anticipated for years, but it comes out fairly early (February) so it's a great...
Thanks for the advice, Rez. And, you're welcome.
As for the Pippen, I had thought that was another computer, but I guess I'm wrong there.
And as for Nintendo, I agree with some of the posters here. Nintendo themselves has to have some sort of big title planned (unless this is supposed to be the year of third party companies), but it shouldn't be Zelda/Mario/Metroid/Pokemon. It ...

I know what you mean about some instances of the problem being caused by misuse, but three faulty consoles for one person who definitely knows how to treat high-end electronics is pretty awful. Oh, of course there were instances of X360's totally crapping out. But someone sending in a system three times is...
Wii Play appears to finally be dying out. Thank goodness. And while it could have done much better, I'm pleased to see inFamous get such great numbers.
Ok, since everyone's messing around on off topic, I'll take this opportunity to say that I love my DS and PSP equally. My PS2 and PS3 are still competing for my attention. I curse M$ for making a console that's essentially a ticking time bomb. Get the failure rate below 10% and you might have yourself another customer M$. The PSP Go is one of (if not the worst) idea that Sony has come up with. The Wii... it's about time...

I've been noticing a disturbing trend lately with DLC, and that's hearing about announced DLC for a game that hasn't even been released yet (for example Rock Band: Beatles). Now, to me this sounds like a sorry cop out to make you pay more for a game to access content that probably should have been there on day one. More and more...

Nintendo has the advantage. Both of its' opponents have made their major holiday moves. They'll more than likely make more, but the price drops are the grandest moves they can make that will make a significant impact on people looking for consoles this holiday. The Wii is only $50 away from both (ignoring the Arcade for a moment) but it includes a game, has a controller that defines the experience more than the games and only has...

The PS3 has White Knight Chronicles and Final Fantasy XIII Versus (to my knowledge, that's still an exclusive) which no one has mentioned yet. Thanks for the name "Tender Vittles", Nub! My collection!
