Riding with others today I discovered the limitations of my 2001 Trek 4500 hardtail on slightly more technical sections such as climbing lugs and roots.
I am seriously considering the Sette Flite since it seems to be a good bargain for an AM bike.
The reason I am choosing the Flite over the Ace is because the Flite comes with a better fork and rear shock. Also it seems the frame is ...
just not sure what i want right now... it DEF LOOKS TO BE A KILLER BIKE and
prob. exactly what i need for the type riding i do but i have to weigh out
all my options for bikes and how i ride and cost etc........ i really dont
think youll be sorry for the price and components on the bike...
I was wanting a Flite myself but got a killer deal on something else..Sette Look like real sweet bikes for the price.
I don't think you could go wrong with it.
I'd say you're on the right track. The Flite is a great bargain, and for a 'lower' end frame it really does perform well. It's quite strong, and has adjustable travel.
Up until a few days ago i was riding a 2005 KHS AM2000.. same frame, different paint and stickers. I used it for 2 and a half years and can say that its solid, has nice active suspension, and never caused me any headaches. ...
X.7 Parts are considered good and should last a long time. If your looking for a bike that will compare to the Flite at that price pretty much the only place you might do that is looking at Bikesdirect.com. You may be able to find a good deal on a last year model FS bike at a LBS, but most sales like that have come and gone since I believe most of the 2010 bikes are out on the market. The ...

Dont let this comment sway you in either way, a good bike shop will work on any bike ...

I almost bought the Flite earlier this summer. Only reason I didn't but one is I got an unexpected $1000 added to my bike budget, so I went with Titus.
As far as price goes you simply can't beat the parts list at that price point. It goes on sale for $1000 every so often, so I would watch and wait to get it for less.

I usually keep it about 4 clicks from being fully closed, it's plenty plush for the hits and good on the climbs. It's easy to adjust on the fly. The Ace is a xc...
They were on sale last June/July, they gotta be coming up again soon, what with the holidays n' all. They claim the $1200 is a hot deal, but I know they were 1100 during the summer. I mispoke when I said they were $1000, I dredged up my old notes and the Ace was $1000 (it is also again now). Shoot, I bought a Titus Motolite, and I am now in the market for a 6" trailbike. I've heard such great things about the Flite (and almost...
