Thread: Compounding chemist and progesterone pessaries

Started 1 month ago by mumMegan
I live in the Mornington Peninsula, VIC and am looking for a compounding chemist. Can anyone tell me where they go to get there prescription of progesterone pessaries made up? The closest I can find is about an hour away. I have looked on the internet and rung a few places but it seems that the info is quite out of date. Hi Megan, I am in Elwood & I go to a Compounding Chemist in Caulfield. Not much help for you. Definately cheaper than picking up from the IVF Clinic. I usually only have to wait a few minutes like any other script. It depends how many you want. If you want quite a few weeks worth, it may not hurt to ring & check if they have enough in stock.

Didn't your clinic refer you to a local chemist who provide them? I know mine did? I would call up when I need them as they sometimes needed to make extra if I was ordering a large quantity. They would only keep a certain amount stocked.

Just spoke to FN and she told me the chemist closest to the IVF clinic does them. It is not a compounding chemist but due to them being so close to IVF they have them. This makes it soooooo much easier. I have a few crinone gels left from 1st cycle so she said I could use them first. Thank you both for your quick replies Megan
