Thread: Community - Nonprofit starter pack's LYBUNT and SYBUNT reports - Nonprofits - Force.com Discussion Boards

Started 2 months ago by Srose
I just upgraded to the NSP from my nonprofit salesforIce edition. My main purpose in the upgrade was to be able to get lifetime donation histories for my contacts. But when I run the LYBUNT and SYBUNT reports I only get the donation history for my organizations and not my contacts.  I thought with the one-to-one model in NSP that this would for sure give me donation histories for all my ...

I think what you might be missing is that the lybunt and sybunt reports run off rollup summary fields that rely on the Account record on the Opportunity. If you just migrated from the old nonprofit edition, you probably don't have 1-to-1 accounts set up for all your existing Contacts. To test this, create a new contact and then create a new closed won opportunity for that. Check to ...

You are right about needing the accounts for each contact.  I tested it.    If you could post how to mass create accounts for all my current contacts that would be great. Thanks again, Shelley

I couldn't find anything in the help center or on the wiki for how to add accounts to contacts on the new one-to-one.  Did you find any documentation for it?

I'm working on it and will post hopefully tomorrow. Thanks, Steve

Here are my thoughts on migrating: http://wiki.developerforce.com/index.php/Nonprofit _Starter_Pack_Conversion

I follwed the first step to export certain data fields from contacts.  Then I used datauploader "insert" to create accounts according to the mapping you suggested.  I did a test run with 10 contacts and mapped them to create 10 new accounts.  But now all ten are duplicates.  So if I had a "Shelley Neese" contact I now have two "Shelley Neese" organizations.  If I delete one of those ...

Ok, so I just did a test to see what's going on.  If I create a donation on an existing contact that donation shows up connected with the account/org in my lybunt reports.  So what I think that means is that I already have an account connected to all my contacts that had previously been in the "individual" bucket.  I didn't know about the migration steps you just referred to on the ...

Also, I don't really get this:   Run a report of the "Opportunity and Contact Roles and Contact" type where the Account field on the Opportunity = the Individual Account Id.   I created a custom report type: Donations with Contact Roles and choose all the ID fields you suggested but the report is empty.  Not sure what I did wrong or what exactly you mean by Opportunity and Contact ...

Sorry, the report type is Opportunity and Contact Roles. Thanks, Steve

When I select the Report columns for the Opportunity with Contact Roles report I don't see an option anywhere for Contact Account ID.  I see Organization ID, Contact ID, and Contact: Organization (which is the same name as the contact) but I don't see a field called Contact Account ID or Contact Organization ID.  Where should this field show up in the report columns section?

Alright.  Cool.  Its finally taken care of.  I couldn't figure out the accountid formula field but I finally realized that if I run two reports: Donations with Contact Roles and another that is just Contacts which includes Contact Organization ID than I could use Excel's VLOOKUP to get all three fields on the same report.   Thanks for your help.   Its good now.

Using the dataloader to move data around has a bit of a learning curve. some thing that might help.   I don't think you're using Contact Roles at all, that's why that report is coming up empty. So don't use that.   You could also create a new formula field on Opportunity that just shows the Contact's AccountId. This would allow you to get the contact's account id along with the opportunity id....
