My suggestion would be to draft the letter in a private forum. That way you'd be able to use the WYSIWYG editor, save while writing, etc.
Once your letter is set, hit the HTML button in the WYSIWYG editor. It's the button just to the left of the spellcheck. Copy the code and paste it into the
wimpy plain text editor provided for sending community messages.

I would like to send a newsletter to all my members of my groups and I was wondering if there is a way to add images to the
letter and center everything and add spaces between different topics?
