You are welcome. It looks like the shuttle launch has been pushed back to Nov 16th. There is a rocket launch scheduled for the 14th which may be visible from the beach in Daytona. Rocket launches get scrubbed a lot Just FYI... Not nearly as spectacular as the space shuttle, however if you have never seen a launch it is pretty cool! Aunt Catfish's on the river for great southern cooking, Bubba Gumps for a great barbque sandwich and drinks, Trader's Restaurant for great hot (medium) wings, the Best Western Aku Tiki for a great hotel with manager's happy hour each evening. The Daytona race track tour and IMAX there is very fun. Nearly new greyhound racing track and poker room. Huge flea market. Rent a golf cart to drive on the beach watching for dolphins...

I also suggest Ocean Deck Restaurant/Bar.

go to the NASA website and you can find all the information and also info on recorded info via telephone. Going to Titusville is good but may be crowded but you can walk to the bridge or just being on the beach, watching it come into view, etc. Great timing. I have never seen a launch. I saw a landing and went to Titusville to see that.
