Thread: Comcast (owner of G4) to buy NBC?

This might be of interest to some of you but a major story broke early this morning that G4's owner, Comcast, is in negotiations to buy NBC Universal for an estimated $27 billion. Comcast would get majority control of NBC Universal which includes NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, among other channels, and the Universal theme parks. The big question is how this will impact G4 and Comcast's other networks...

If this happens, it'd be great to see Adam and Morgan appear on some segments for MSNBC or CNBC. It'd make em seem a little more watchable (Talking about CNBC and MSNBC of course). Do I think it'll happen, no. But truthfully, this seems more possible than Comcast trying to buy Disney. More is out this morning and it's close to a done deal. Of course that doesn't mean that it is done. Comcast was very close to buying Disney five years ago but that fell through in the 11th hour. I watch CNBC all the time. CNBC and G4 are the two channels that I watch more than anything else.

I wondered why TNC was pulled. What a shame. Well thank goodness that was a web show. That would have done considerable damage otherwise.
