A 2004 car is Most based, and the Comand 2.5 is not and D2b based

On the brink of buying a NTG2.5 Comand for my 2004 E220 CDI which currently has an Audio 20 CD. It looks like I can PnP with the items listed below (Plug and Play with the help of an adaptor cable), but want to be sure the ones I'm looking at will be compatible as I beleive this field is a minefield of compatibiltiy issues.
Anyway Will a A211 870 60 94 PnP into my car,

What if any is the physical wAy of distinguishing a most from a dtb system? At the back of my Audio 20 I have one large connector and 1 phono style connector that either uses fibre optics or is a thin co-ax style cable.

Only from the serial numbers on the units,, they all look the same on the outside

hi.i think it will be ok.only thing you need to get wiring diagram for your car and the command system so you can move the wiring.such as wire for nav so it knows you moving and need to fit gps ariel.plus need to connect it to star machine to change setting
