Thread: Colposcopy/biopsy @ 21wks

Thanks for the comments ladies. Vallewis, Did you have cramping and bleeding from the biopsy, or the cryosurgery? I am going to have the colposcopy done for sure, and then depending on what the dr. finds make the decision abouut the biopsy from there. If it can wait at all, then I will wait. It's all nervewracking because anything involving the cervix during pregnancy seems like a bad idea.

had light spotting from the biopsy, but was worse and more painful for the cryo.? Id have someone come with you for both, just for support

I have to get the colposcopy done tomorrow and I am nervous as well. Please if anyone has had this done while pregnant please post what to expect. ?

I have refused two pregnancies in a row to do this while pregnant. My rationale is I will not go through any treatment until after baby anyway so it can wait 18 or so weeks. This works for me, not saying it is what you should do. FTR, I am dealing w/ IC due to multiple biopsies/LEEP's so this may influence my decision. Do your research and ask your doc lots of questions so you can make the best informed decision for you. GL
