Thread: Coffee Table Book layouts

Does anybody have any suggestions of websites to purchase or more prefferably give tutorials for book layouts? I have found some sites, but it purchase them is expensive....I would love to learn how to make my own and be original. Thank you!

momentsbytara, if you browse the various sites you should get a fairly good feel for laying out a book. Or, is your problem that you lack the experience with PSE, and don't know where to begin?

Yes, unfortunately I have only been using PSE for about 3 months. New to the photography business as well. I have made cards, announcements, etc, but not sure where to begin with starting a layout...what sizes, etc...

I have an account with Mpix and they do provide websites of layout creators, however I would like to try and do my own. I like to get creative, just need some guidelines..

momentsbytara, your lack of experience with PSE pretty much means that you will have to adapt a layout you like and change it to suit your tastes. See if these first steps help you, if yes we can expand on them. 1. Select all the photos you wish to include. (This will help decide what your layout will be.) 2. Ok I do have answers to these questions... 1.)I do not have the photos as of yet, they will be for a family shoot outdoors. I usually have at least 100 pictures to include, but may not use that many. 2.) I like the idea of a story book 3.) 10x10 book 4.) Not the same layout on each page. would like a little variety 5.) I have yet to make a sketch, but have an idea in my head of what I ...
