Thread: Cocaine Withdrawals??

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by Fresco
We know substances like Bupe can be used as a receptor blocker for heroin and eliminate WD. Similar to what loperamide can do for codeine WD But is there a similar substance known to eliminate cocaine WD's?? I never heard of anything, have you guys??

Opioids are physically addictive substances so chemically-related drugs will help ease the withdrawals. Cocaine and other psychostimulant drugs aren't physically addictive drugs so treating the symptoms don't work in the same fashion. The two drugs that I *heard* were most useful: Propranolol (Inderal) beta-blocker ismodafinil (Provigil) mild stimulant

a friend of mine had a very mild coke habit and he started doing little bumps of adderall+hydrocodone instead. addy for the rush and hydro for the euphoria. he said it eased him out of it.

the main difference is that bupe prevents the physical symptoms of withdrawl... cocaine withdrawl is far more psychological so its a hard one, but i heard theyre doing researche into selective dopamine rebutake inhibitors( i think) that lay help with cocke withdrawl

I'd have to say that's subjective upon the individual. Opioids have cursed me with psychological withdrawals and cravings for what seem to be the rest of my life and when I had just got off them from Suboxone taper the psych withdrawals were far worse than cocaine....
