Why are we in there trying to beat these guys with our clumsy and expensive methods? The Pakis know the area, have the alliances and know how to fight in their own part of the world. If we just help the Paki's tick the Talibans butt, we strengthen an ally and win the war while not spending as much money and while keeping American lives out of it. Barrack, are you listening?
Pakistan voted into power a state sponsored thief and common murder called Zardari along with his gangsters who form the so called government. So now whatever Paksitan government and army say is taken by world and Muslims with pinch of salt. If Zardari say Taliban are terrorist then know that here speaks a liar and actually he must be terrorist. He sometimes says strong word about US drone etc ...
Great headline, but not believable, as long as there are governments that fail in their duty to all of the citizenry, there will be those trying to effect change by any means available...

What they will do is run the combatants out of Pakistan and back into Afganistan. This is possible only because Obama will not beef up our forces in Afganistan so they can get them as they come across. The whole thing is totally political...and American troops suffer because of it. We are going back to the stupidity of Jimmy Carter and the politics of Bill Clinton.

You work this phrase ...

What sort of ultra radical partisanship are you flogging here? I was under the impression that the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan were perpetrated by two presidents named George Bush. ...
Will be interesting how it plays out. Pakis seem committed at last, which is good. But as long as Kashmir is not settled, the calculations of conflict can not be settled
yeah but that could change, china has interests in afganistan now, plus india may be right - taliban has had russia arms deals and may be funded by pakistan as india has claimed in past

Your obsessive hatred of the lawfully elected president overshadows anything you might have to say when you insist on harping on this matter. The election is over and McCain lost and dragged all those on his coat tails down with him. Obama inherited this mess from George Bush and has done poorly in cleaning it up. Let's get...

Read the news carefully, especially the very first reports, this is where readers will find the most reliable and critical facts. Five psychiatrists died in this shootout, and why five psychiatrists? As to your point, that is precisely what Michael Parenti is writing about. Americans find it difficult to imagine patriotism without using the imagery of militarism. Thank you for making his point for me. It was an excellent example. Parenti goes on to discuss why this is the case. You...

In less than two years, even Pakistan's elite turned suspicious of US intentions. Forget Hillary's empty accusations that Pakistan is protecting al-Qaeda, the truth is that Washington has played a double game with Pakistan. Afghanistan today is a hub for anti-Pakistan activities and a...
