Hi Blessings to you and thanks for all your dedication to the truth about foods. I have been very blessed by your ministry to others. I keep receiving conflicting info about both Maltodextrin and Citric Acid. I was under the impression that Maltodextrin was not good to eat because it was a form of MSG??? What is the truth and should products that contain this be avoided or not? I was also ...

The problem with maltodextrin is that it may contain a high amount of MSG. It is not MSG itself, but can contain it as part of the additive. Maltodextrin is just a grain starch that is usually derived from gentically modified corn but can also come from rice. Often times, there is no way of knowing which type of maltodextrin is in the foods it is listed on, so I make it a general rule to just ...
