Thread: Child Support: What's your take?

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by love-my-XJ
Do you think that a man/women that has full custody while the other parent has the child every other weekend should have to pay child support to the parent with full custody?

Yes if it is actually used for the child. In my case my ex wife doesn't have a job and is using the money to live off of.

I am in the same situation, but the other way. I work full time, go to school full time and have full custody. He got fired from his job, didn't notify me(or I would have worked with him) got another job and never told me or turned it in to child support enforcement. He has another child support case he is $10,000 behind on as it is. He has been building his Jeep, but can't pay child support.... ...

yeah i am in the child support boat at the moment myself, but i am unemployed so i am pretty much screwed and she is being a total bitch about it. So i gotta see what i can come up with and do something about it.

See.. here is my thought on Child Support payments... The payer sets up a checking account with debit card / credit card access. The account is in the payers name. The payer secures a card in the payees name. The payee can only access the money in the account via that card. The payee has no other access to the account except through that card. All purchases must be made using that card ...

Mine took the child support and started an expensive habit of packing her veins with it. Now she has lost all three of her kids and looking at possible extended stay at the crossbar hotel.

Just talking about child support pisses me off. I was taken to the cleaners by the AG office here in Texas. I pay $750/month in child support for one kid and I never see him in new clothes or anything like that.

To answer your question as a father who is not the Primary Custodian as per the court... Yes. However, I do believe there should be some accountability for the Primary Custodian to provide proof that said support was actually spent on the minor child. The conflict lies in that one can argue that housing is an acceptable proof. One can argue that the money is spent on housing ...

There is no motive. I have him on my block list. He can't see my posts unless they are quoted. I also mentioned he was building a Jeep. He knows how I feel. I haven't hid it from him and didn't need to come here to get his attention. Otherwise I would have mentioned his name. Just thought I could get some input on how to handle the situation.
