In my opinion, I wouldn`t get an aftermarket exhaust for a V6, especially glasspacks. I know I didn`t answer your question but I`ve never heard a V6 with an aftermarket exhaust sound good. But, if you think differently, Magnaflow and Flowmaster are cheap.

Actually I did a swap on my S10 to a Flowmaster 50-series and it sounded great. No drone and not to loud, but def. made a nice note out the back.

I have the Dynomax Ultra Flow welded on my 97(4.3). Its pretty loud, its a bit more expensive though. I have heard some 4.3`s with glasspacks and they sound good as well.

I have a theory about loud exhaust that many won`t like nothing sounds like a V8, V-10 or V12. A V6 sounds good with a low rumbling exhaust but not a loud obnoxious one. 4 cyl only sound good quiet. Unless they have the muscle to back the sound. So if you have a completely modded 4 cyl with turbos, wastegates and intercoolers it doesn`t rate a big exhaust. Now I took the cat off of...
