Most larger auto parts "places that sell large truck, farm tractor, or industrial that make hydraluic hoses and can test them. The pressure on a hydrualic line is going to be from several hundred pounds of pressure to 1000 lbs. compared to fuel lines or atf lines in the 100 lb range. A power steering pump can put out over 500 lbs of pressure and a small leak will make a mess real ...

The 500 psi seems exaggerated. I wouldn`t imagine it being that high but I can`t say for certain. I have worked Airplane hydraulic systems and have seen what high pressure hydraulic lines look like and the one on my truck doesn`t look anything like those. It doesn`t seem it could handle that much pressure. I think the power steering pump works more off of volume flow than pressure. ...

I did find a high pressure hose made by hypalon that is rated for 0 - 115 bar normal operation and a 500 bar tear strength. Converted 115 bar is 1667 psi. I don`t know what the application of this hose is for but it is a heavy duty rated steering line. I would be surprised to find out that a power steering pump makes that kind of pressure.
