Question what does it take to run 285`s on a stock 2005 silverado z71 i was given them for free they have half tread left on them i would like to use em thanks

Mount and balance and see if they rub any. Most likely at full lock they will, so you can put a few cranks on the torsion bars to raise the front a little. Also, the front lower valance might need trimmed a little. On stock rims, you might not have any trouble. Thanks i figured i should def be able to run them if i cranked the t-bars a little bit but i figured i got the tires for free why not

I am running 285/70/17`s on my stock 05 z71 as we speak. mine are the BF goodwrench All Terrain KO`s on factory aluminum rims. no problems at all. ride and look nice.lots of room in the wheel wells

not a darn thing.. i have a completely stock 2004 silverado z71.. just put on a new set of 285/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO 2`s and they fit perfect. lots of clearance.. no issues whatsoever.. they are only about 1" taller and 1" wider than the stock 265/70/17`s.
