I just landed a great job here in Switzerland starting in November with realy good pay. and many future opportunities in the company. Been out of work since 6/26. Applications put in everywhere. No call backs at all. Computer/Network business is slow here in D/FW. I'm OK though. Knew along time ago the business was in jeopardy so I started a fund just in case. I'm on "Indefinite Economic Vacation" hahaha...JohnB

Oh we are so busy we had to tell the salesmen to stop telling customers they will be installed before January 1 cause it aint gonna happen. Only bad part of my job is i'm normally putting several people out of work. We automate parking garages so the attendants loose their jobs in most cases. Sometimes thou they move to different positions.

You don't know if you're next until they stop at your desk, so everyone is on exteme edge when these events take place. We are around the corner and actually hiring again. Business is not as good as it was before the...

I went from building 25-30 truck scales a year to 12-15 this past year. It is getting better as my shop is now back at 6 week deliveries with no layoffs except for those that wanted or needed it! Later, ScaleMan!

Its everywhere I think. Even in the military. They have cut reenlistment bonus to mostly $0.00. They have increased alot of the standards and really started cracking down on the standards that have been in place. Making it harder and harder to not get kicked out. Even the wife who is an ER nurse. They have increased their patient to nurse ratio to cut back on the number of nurses on the clock at any given time. Havent seen them let anyone go,...
