Thread: Chevy S-10 Misses at Idle

Normally with my S-10 I can figure things out either myself or talking with my friends, but I can't figure this one out. I have a 1985 Chevy S-10 that has a 2.8L V6 engine. The problem is the truck runs well it takes off quickly drives fine, except when it is stopped. Only once it is warmed up does this become a problem. What is happening is when I stop at a light the engine misses every 5-...

Try the cap and rotor, it sounds like you replaced everything except for those.

Thank you for the help, I will give both of those a try I honestly cant remember if the cap and rotator have ever been changed since I've had it, and I replaced the fuel filter once about 5 years ago. So those are both likely canidates.

Thank you for the help, I will give both of those a try I honestly cant remember if the cap and rotator have ever been changed since I've had it, and I replaced the fuel filter once about 5 years ago. So those are both likely canidates.
